Using a Different SIM Card?
If you wish to use another provider’s SIM card (must be a 4G/2G card with an active data plan), you will need to reset the tracker and may need to configure its APN settings.
- Reset the Tracker: Insert an activated SIM card with SMS functionality. From your mobile phone, send the following SMS command to the number of the SIM card in the tracker:
reset123456 - Configure APN (If Required): Contact your carrier to get the correct APN details (APN name, username, and password). Then, send these SMS commands from your phone to the tracker’s SIM card:
apn123456 [APN name](e.g.,apn123456 mobilenet)apnuser123456 [APN username](Only if a username is required)apnpasswd123456 [APN password](Only if a password is required)CQ(This command finalizes the setup)- Note: There is a space after “123456” in each command. Omit the username and password commands if they are not needed.
